OUR GOAL IS TO BE PREPARED... BOTH SPIRITUALLY AND PHYSICALLY.
Our goal is to become the embodiment of "Threefold Grace". By "Threefold Grace" we mean"
1. Grace as the only means of salvation
2. Grace as the foundation of fellowship
3. Grace as the basis for restoration
Grace as the only means of salvation.
John 3:16 states, "God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall never perish, but shall have eternal life." Ephesians 2:8 states, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourself, it is a gift of God."
We believe that Jesus came for the benefit of the entire world. Jesus witnessed to all and extends His mercy and grace to all; those that have heard His voice and respond to Him as well as those who did not respond. Jesus seeks to restore the peace of all men's souls by offering a relationship with Himself. A relationship with Jesus results in union with His body, the church, and a release from the bondage of sin. We believe we are entrusted with a sacred responsibility to profess salvation by means of faith alone. We therefore reject legalism and any form of bondage in the name of our Lord.
Grace as the foundation of fellowship:
John 13:34 states, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another...
As children of God and members of one body we need to be connected to each other in a loving fellowship. Love of one another seasoned with ample grace to cover each of our sinful natures promotes a healthy atmosphere of worship and spiritual growth. The tranquility of our mountain home is a constant reminder of the peace that God will provide to His children who will obey.
We seek to promote fellowship with our church family through worship and family activities. We seek to promote fellowship with our neighbors, regardless of their relationship with the body of Christ, through community services such as our free movie nights for the children and sponsorship of the school track team.
Grace as the basis for restoration:
Matthew 22:36 states, "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?" And He said to him. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 7:1 states, "Do not judge lest you be judges, For in the way you judge, you will be judged, For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure it will be measured to you."
Jesus seeks to restore the nation of Israel and the gentile nations to a right relationship with Himself and His church. The scriptures document many instances of the failure of the church to provide a true teaching of the Good News and with it the adverse effects on our relationships with others that have resulted from judgement rather than grace. We seek to spread a message of hope, peace and truth. We are determined to reach those that have been judged and rejected or in any way hurt by any church or person. Through Christ's grace working through us we are determined to restore the rejected to a relationship to Christ in our assembly.
BY GRACE WE HAVE BEEN SAVED...
WE REJECT LEGALISM
WE CONNECT WITH ONE ANOTHER AND OUR NEIGHBORS WITH GRACE. WE SERVE OUR COMMUNITY.
WE SEEK TO RESTORE THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN REJECTED AND RESTORE THEM TO A LOVING RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND TO HIS CHURCH.
We believe that through joyful worship and grace-based fellowship our hearts will be changed. As we become the embodiment of "Threefold Grace" toward our neighbors, we believe that God will bring fruit to His church. Our goal is to be prepared for the harvest in both the spiritual and physical realm.
