The Mt Baldy Village Church Mission is to care for and draw the children close to Jesus.  This care includes:

• Children's Church
• Teen Youth Worship and Ministry 
• Monthly TGIF VBS and Movie Nights
• Quarterly Family Activities
• Vacation Bible School
• Community Christmas Program

Children's Church:
We have two large classrooms upstairs and one small classroom downstairs.  Our Children's Church classes meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.  Our children divide int two or three Sunday School classes depending on the number of children present.

On non-Children's Church Sundays we encourage families to take weekend trips together.   We also stager the Sunday School Sundays so that our teachers can attend our regular church services.  All groups meet in the Sanctuary for morning worship and then go to their classrooms.

Teen Youth Worship and Ministry
In addition to their own Sunday School class, Jr. High and High School youth participate in local area clean-up and associated econ-friendly activities including local hiking and fishing trips.  Winter and Summer Camp activities are also available.

TGIF VBS and Movie Nights (TGIF VBS=Thank God Its Friday Vacation Bible School)
Our monthly TGIF VBS  provides a fun Bible centered activity similar to VBS activities for one-half hour prior to our monthly Movies.  Age appropriate movies are shown in our two upstairs classrooms.  Our primary goal each evening is to bring all of the children to the church (both those who believe and those who do not) so that they learn that the church is a safe and fun place as well as a place of worship.  Movies have good moral teaching, but are not religious in nature.  We believe that our Jewish, Atheist, Buddhist and Agnostic neighborhood children all need a safe place to play and participate as neighbors and friends.  Our second goal is to help strengthen parent relationships by providing a "Date Night" with free Child Care.  We do not charge for this activity, but donations are welcome.

Quarterly Family Activity Days
Quarterly Family Activity Days vary throughout the year.  Our goal is to structure activities that include mountain experiences (hiking, fishing, snow skiing, etc.) and standard activities you might find at any church (Disneyland, Water Park, etc.).  Our next Family Activity is September 18th.  We will hike about 3/4 of a mile into Lower San Antonio Canyon and enjoy fishing in some of the pools of San Antonio Creek before ending the day swimming at the 'Secret Swimming Hole.' 

Vacation Bible School
Our Vacation Bible School (Picture above) this year drew over most of the children Pre-School through 6th grade that reside in the village of Mt Baldy and it's neighboring U.S. Forest areas (Barret-Stoddard, Ice House Canyon, Glacier, San Antonio Falls and Manker).  Our teens joined forces with our adult members to provide a unique experience of Bible and Nature education in a combination of indoor and outdoor activities. 

Christmas Program
Our Christmas Program is spectacular!  Having been blessed by set designers from Hollywood and Sound and Light donations from Paramount Studios our programs would challenge the resources of many large churches.  It's simply the focus of our children's program each year and includes many hours of service from the community.  See our "Christmas" page for more details.
